STATE COLLEGE SCORES TWICE IN THIRD TO CLAIM OPEN TITLE

Five different players scored to lift State College past Carrick, 5-3, Saturday in the PIHL 84 Lumber Penguins Cup Open Division championship at Mellon Arena.

The game was tied, 3-3, at the end of the second period, but the Little Lions scored twice in the third period to take the win.

Taylor Haney, Brian James, Dan Petrick, Kurt Collins and Nick Petrick all scored goals for State College. Cam Beaury, Jacques Guillory and Brian Tompkins added assists.

Mitchell Faust, Matt Abbott and Aaron Hahne scored goals for the Raiders. Bill Brunner, Nick Kelly, Faust and Hahne all had assists.
