PENS HEAD TO MONTREAL SATURDAY FOR LAST TIME THIS SEASON
The Pittsburgh Penguins close out their two-game road trip Saturday at 7 p.m. in Montreal.
FSN Pittsburgh will televise the contest at 7 p.m., while 3WS (94.5 FM) will start its radio broadcast with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m. The broadcast may be found live through streaming audio on pittsburghpenguins.com as well. The Penguins (16-38-12) dropped a 2-1 decision in New Jersey on Thursday. It broke Pittsburgh’s two-game win streak.
Jani Rita had the lone Penguins goal Thursday and it was unassisted. That meant Colby Armstrong’s eight-game points streak came to an end. It is the second-longest rookie streak this year and matches the efforts of Washington’s Alexander Ovechkin and Boston’s Brad Boyes. Armstrong’s teammate, Sidney Crosby, is first as he recorded a point in a 10-game span this season.
This contest marks the first for the Penguins in Montreal since Jan. 3. Pittsburgh posted a 6-4 triumph in that game and rookies Michel Ouellet and Crosby both had two goals apiece.
The Penguins return home Sunday at battle the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:30 p.m. Pittsburgh returns to Canada on Tuesday at Ottawa. That game will only be televised on OLN.
