Pittsburgh Penguins

The Pittsburgh Penguins close out their two-game road trip Saturday at 7 p.m. in Montreal.

FSN Pittsburgh will televise the contest at 7 p.m., while 3WS (94.5 FM) will start its radio broadcast with a pregame show at 6:30 p.m. The broadcast may be found live through streaming audio on pittsburghpenguins.com as well. Tune in for Penguins Hotline following every game on 3WS and the Penguins Radio Network. Join in the conversation with host Bob Grove by calling the Penn Telecom toll-free line at 1-866-922-2874.

The Penguins (16-38-12) dropped a 2-1 decision in New Jersey on Thursday. It broke Pittsburgh’s two-game win streak.

Jani Rita had the lone Penguins goal Thursday and it was unassisted. That meant Colby Armstrong’s eight-game points streak came to an end. It is the second-longest rookie streak this year and matches the efforts of Washington’s Alexander Ovechkin and Boston’s Brad Boyes. Armstrong’s teammate, Sidney Crosby, is first as he recorded a point in a 10-game span this season.

This contest marks the first for the Penguins in Montreal since Jan. 3. Pittsburgh posted a 6-4 triumph in that game and rookies Michel Ouellet and Crosby both had two goals apiece.

The Penguins return home Sunday at battle the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7:30 p.m. Pittsburgh returns to Canada on Tuesday at Ottawa. That game will only be televised on OLN.

(Programming note: The next episode of Inside Penguins Hockey with Stan Savran will air Saturday at 6:30 p.m. on FSN Pittsburgh)
