APPS SCORES AGAIN AS CANADIANS CAPTURE GOLD
Team Canada captured gold at the Winter Olympics with a 4-1 win over Sweden on Monday.
Gillian Apps, daughter of former Penguins star Syl Apps, scored the first goal for Canada. She finished the Olympics with six goals, seven assists and 13 points. She tied for the tournament lead with her six goals and finished third overall in points.
Canada outscored its five opponents, 46-2, to defend its gold medal.
