PENS RECALL COLBY ARMSTRONG AND MAXIME TALBOT FROM WB\/S

PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forwards Colby Armstrong and Maxime Talbot from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced Thursday by General Manager Craig Patrick.

Armstrong, 23, ranks second on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in goals (11), assists (18) and points (29) this season.  Armstrong ranks fourth on the team with 44 penalty minutes and fourth with a plus-14 rating in 31 games.

Armstrong recorded three points (1+2) in a 5-0 Wilkes-Barre/Scranton win over Hartford last night in Wilkes-Barre.

Armstrong has appeared in 251 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton over the last three-plus seasons, recording 129 points (46+83) and 280 penalty minutes.

The 6-2 and 190-pound native of Lloydminster, Saskatchewan was drafted by the Penguins in the first round (21st overall) of the 2001 Entry Draft.

Talbot, 21, has appeared in 31 games this season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, scoring four goals and recording 17 penalty minutes.  Talbot was assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on December 15th and scored five goals in seven games, recording 10 penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating.

Talbot scored two goals in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s 5-0 win over Hartford last night.

The 5-11 and 185-pound native of Lemoyne, Quebec was drafted by the Penguins in the eighth round (234th overall) of the 2002 Entry Draft.
