FSN CELEBRATES RETURN OF PENGUINS HOCKEY WITH STANLEY CUP SPECIALS
FSN Pittsburgh celebrates the return of Penguins hockey by airing two one-hour specials Tuesday night about the Penguins’ Stanley Cup years.
“Raising the Cup in ’91,” will air Tuesday at 8 p.m., followed by “Raising the Cup in ’92” at 9 p.m.
The two shows, hosted by FSN’s Rob King, blend archival Stanley Cup playoff footage and current interviews with Stanley Cup vets such as Mario Lemieux, Mark Recchi, Kevin Stevens, Phil Bourque, Bob Errey, Bryan Trottier and Craig Patrick.
FSN, the Penguins’ television partner, will carry 66 games this season, starting with the regular season opener Wednesday at New Jersey at 7:30 p.m. Stan Savran will host “Savran on SportsBeat” live from New Jersey on Wednesday, starting at 6:30 p.m.
All 82 Penguins regular season games will be televised. In addition to the 66 on FSN, six others will air locally on UPN, while seven will be carried nationally by OLN, and three will air nationally on NBC.
