PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed right wing Konstantin Koltsov, it was announced today by Penguins General Manager Craig Patrick.  In accordance with club policy, terms of the contract were not released.

Koltsov, 24, has appeared in 84 National Hockey League games in his career, recording 29 points (9+20) and 30 penalty minutes.  He was one of four players to appear in all 82 games for the Penguins during the 2003-04 season and ranked ninth among NHL rookies in assists (20) and tied for second in game-tying goals (1). 

Koltsov played in 65 career regular season games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (AHL) from 2002-2004, recording 30 points (9+21) and 41 penalty minutes.  In 30 career playoff games for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Koltsov has tallied 23 points (8+15) and 22 penalty minutes.

The 6 foot, 206 pound right wing appeared in 11 games during the 2004-05 season with Dynamo Minsk in the Russian League, recording eight points (6+2) and 38 penalty minutes.  Koltsov also played 31 games for Spartak Moscow, tallying 16 points (6+10) and 48 penalty minutes and represented Belarus in the World Championships, netting three goals and three assists in six games. 

Koltsov, a native of Minsk, Belarus, was drafted by Pittsburgh in the first round (18th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
