PENGUINS RE-SIGN CENTER SHANE ENDICOTT TO A MULTI-YEAR CONTRACT
PITTSBURGH - The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed center Shane Endicott to a multi-year contract, it was announced today by General Manager Craig Patrick. In accordance with club policy, terms of the contract were not released.
Endicott, 23, appeared in 68 games with the Penguins’ American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, establishing career-highs in goals (24) and points (47). Endicott ranked third on the team in goals, sixth in points and tied for second in power-play goals (7) during the 2004-05 regular season. Endicott recorded four points (2+2) in 11 playoff games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Endicott ranked fifth on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in scoring during the 2003-04 season with 39 points (17+22) in 79 games. In 284 career games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, Endicott has recorded 164 points (73+91) and 271 penalty minutes.
The 6-3 and 211-pound native of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was drafted by the Penguins in the second round (52nd overall) of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. Endicott appeared in four games with the Penguins in 2001-02, recording one assist.
