Penguins Sign Ruslan Fedotenko
The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed forward Ruslan Fedotenko to a one-year contract, it was announced Thursday by Executive Vice President and General Manager
Fedotenko, 29, scored 33 points (16 goals, 17 assists) in 67 games with the New York Islanders during the 2007-08 season. He led the team and registered a career-high with eight power play goals. Fedotenko equaled a career-high three-game goal streak from February 12th to 16th, scoring four goals, including two game-winners. He finished fourth on the Islanders with 104 hits.
Fedotenko has played 53 career playoff games, scoring 17 points (13 goals, four assists). He was a member of the Tampa Bay Lightning when they captured the Stanley Cup following the 2003-04 season. Fedotenko tied for the team lead in those playoffs with 12 goals, including both goals in the 2-1 series-clinching victory vs. the Calgary Flames. The 6-2, 195-pound native of
