| Tall defenseman possesses a good shot and maintains solid defensive positioning. Finished 1st season of professional hockey with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League. Played 4 collegiate seasons with Boston College of Hockey East. Won 2 NCAA national titles with Eagles in 2008 and ’10. Appeared in 3 NCAA championship games in 4 years at BC (‘07, ‘08, ‘10). Was a Hockey East All-Tournament Selection and All-Hockey East honorable mention after leading all BC blueliners with 28 points (11G-17A) in senior season (‘09-10). Totaled 64 points (17G-47A) in 157 collegiate games. Boston College teammate of fellow Penguins prospects Philip Samuelsson and Brian Gibbons. Was defensive partner with Samuelsson.
