Alain Nasreddine provided steady play on the Penguins’ blue line in 2006-07.

Recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Dec. 4, Nasreddine remained in Pittsburgh for the rest of the season. He tallied five points (1+4) and 18 penalty minutes in 44 games for the Penguins. He finished second on the team with a plus-12 rating. He registered an even or better plus/minus rating in 15 consecutive games from Jan. 13 to March 2.

On Dec. 16, Nasreddine recorded his first NHL point – a goal – at Montreal.

In 19 games with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this season, Nasreddine had eight pints (3+5). He served as the team’s captain as well.


2005-06: Alain Nasreddine made his Pittsburgh debut this season. He played eight games with the Penguins and had eight penalty minutes and a plus-2 rating. He provided a solid presence in the defensive zone.

Nasreddine, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s captain, had 12 assists in 71 games with the Baby Penguins this year. He missed the playoffs because of an injury.
