"Miracle on Ice" - Pittsburgh Penguins Connections
Herb Brooks was the head coach of the 1980 USA Olympic team. He become a scout for the Penguins in the mid-90s, and served as head coach for Pittsburgh for 58 games during the 1999-00 season. Brooks was the Penguins’ Director of Player Personnel from 2002 until his death in 2003. In the background is Craig Patrick (assistant GM and assistant coach under Herb Brooks) who ultimately became GM of the Penguins.
