GAME PREVIEW

Though Pittsburgh has played Carolina twice already, Saturday’s finale will be Jordan Staal’s first game back in Pittsburgh since being traded to the Hurricanes last summer. Staal didn’t have the season he wanted in Carolina, especially coming off a career year with Pittsburgh last year. He’s scored 10 goals (including his first in 12 games on Tuesday in a shootout win over the Islanders), but overall his production has been inconsistent while his minus-17 rating is one of the team’s worst. However, he does come into Saturday with eight points in his last 10 games and he’ll likely be pumped to play in front of his former home crowd.

There may be another J. Staal in the lineup Saturday, as the Hurricanes called up youngest Staal brother Jared from the team’s American Hockey League affiliate to join Jordan and Eric. Jared made his NHL debut on Thursday against the Rangers (the fourth and final Staal brother Marc’s team), skating on a line with Jordan and Tuomo Ruutu. Eric, Jordan and Jared became the 10th trio of brothers in North America’s four major pro sports leagues – and fourth in the NHL – to play for the same team in the same season, according to STATS LLC.

START ME UP
Good morning Pens fans! Tonight is the season finale for the Pens as they wrap up the 2012-13 season. They've already locked up the Atlantic Division and the No. 1 seed in the East. Now they are waiting to see who their opponent will be. But first, they'll conclude the regular season against Jordan Staal (his return to Pittsburgh) and the Carolina Hurricanes.

The Pens will get a boost to their lineup with the return of Paul Martin (hand) and James Neal (concussion).

Following the game, the Pens will give their jerseys away to fans - the annual "Shirts Off Our Backs." More details here.

---

We'll start the day with the last Ultimate Highlight video, set to Knife Party's "Bonfire." Enjoy.
