Penguins captain Sidney Crosby will rejoin his teammates for practice Friday afternoon at Southpointe.
Crosby has missed the last 10 games with a broken jaw, but has been skating with strength and conditioning coach Mike Kadar for the past 10 days.
Crosby originally suffered the broken jaw after being struck in the mouth by a deflected puck March 30 against the NY Islanders. He underwent surgery and major dental work the following day.
Crosby ranks second (tied) in the NHL in scoring with 56 points (15G-41A) in 36 games this season. He was named Team MVP for the 2012-13 seasons and is the team's nominated for the Bill Masterton Award - given to the player who best exemplifies the qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey.
