Notes: Agostino leads the Bulldogs in scoring, putting up 17 points through 13 contests this season. The junior forward also leads the team in assists with 10, and three of his seven goals have come on the man-advantage. Nine of Agostino’s 17 points have been recorded in conference play.

JOSH ARCHIBALD

Notes: Archibald recorded four helpers in seven games during the month of December, bumping his season total to 17 points, good for third place on the Mavericks roster. The sophomore forward put up two assists in a 6-5 win over St. Cloud State on Dec. 7, going plus-3 on the night as well. Archibald has one game-winning tally on the year.

TEDDY BLUEGER

Notes: Blueger was in the giving spirit during the month of December, dishing out seven assists in five contests. Blueger has spent the holidays in Ufa, Russia, competing for his native Latvia at the IIHF World Junior Championship, scoring one goal in four contests.

NICHOLAS D'AGOSTINO

Notes: D’Agostino picked up four assists through three contests in December, giving him nine points on the season, good for third on the Cornell roster. The senior defenseman’s helpers came during the Florida College Classic tournament over the holidays, including three against Maine in a 6-4 loss on Dec. 29. D’Agostino has 14 blocked shots on the campaign.

BEN HANOWSKI

Notes: Hanowski is avergaing almost a point-per-game, recording 14 through 15 contests this season. St. Cloud’s captain skated in seven games through December, potting two goals and four assists during that span, including two helpers in a 6-5 loss to Nebraska-Omaha on Dec. 7. Hanowski’s tally on Dec. 15 against Colorado College was the game-winner in a 3-1 victory.

Notes: Maatta continues to be the leading scorer from the blue line in London, putting up 24 points through 32 contests. Skating for his native Finland, Maatta has recorded six shots on goal while going scoreless in the tournament thus far.

SEAN MAGUIRE

Notes: Maguire continues in a backup role for the No. 9 Terriers, but he’s made the most of his starting opportunities. The freshman netminder got the nod on Dec. 8 against Maine, recording his third win and second shutout of the campaign while leading his club to a 1-0 victory. Maguire stopped all 28 shots he faced on the night, bumping his save percentage to an impressive .930 through five starts.

MATIA MARCANTUONI

Notes: Marcantuoni participated in nine contests during the month of December, recording a goal and four assists in the process. Skating in his third season for Kitchener, Marcantuoni potted a power-play goal and an assist in a 5-4 road win against Plymouth on Dec. 1. The Toronto native now has 10 helpers and 14 points on the year.

MATT MURRAY

Notes: Murray appeared in eight contests in December, going 4-4 in those starts. A native of Thunder Bay, Ontario, Murray was victorious in four of his final five starts last month, including a 34-save overtime victory on Dec. 14 against Saginaw. Murray now has 15 wins and a .901 save percentage to his credit.

DERRICK POULIOT

Notes: A Penguins’ first-round pick in 2012, Pouliot continues to lead the Winterhawks defense in the offensive categories, averaging over a point-per-game thus far. Pouliot amassed three goals and nine helpers in the month of December, including a goal and two assists Dec. 10 in a 4-1 win over Tri-City. The Saskatchewan native is second among WHL blueliners with 36 points through 35 contests.

HARRISON RUOPP

Notes: Ruopp went scoreless in December, but the physical defenseman was a plus-3 in nine games over the past month. Ruopp has put up 61 penalty minutes through 38 contests this season, and needs just one more point to set a new career-high with 10.  

BRYAN RUST

Rust is tied for fourth on the squad in points and has only taken one penalty on the campaign.

CLARK SEYMOUR

Notes: Wilson continues to lead the UMASS-Lowell roster in points with 12. The sophomore forward recorded points in three of four contests during the month of December, including a tally in a 5-0 win over Harvard on Dec. 10. Wilson has nine points (2G-7A) in 10 conference games for the River Hawks.

ANTON ZLOBIN

Notes: It only took Zlobin two games to put up nine points this past weekend, as he closed out the month of December on a torrid pace. The crafty forward tore it up in a pair of contests against Rouyn-Noranda, potting a goal and two assists on Dec. 29. He then proceeded to record a hat trick and three more helpers the very next night in an 8-6 victory over the Huskies. Zlobin received the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League’s ‘First Star’ of the week honors thanks to his efforts in the two contests. The Moscow native is ranked second on Val d’Or and 13th in the QMJHL in points with 49.
