Pittsburgh Penguins Fan Blog: For the Fans, by the Fans
Sept. 14, 2012 - Fan of the Day - Tracy

Tracy

How long have you been following the Pens and how did you become a fan?
I've been following the team since the 2008-09 season. I became a fan by hanging around my cousins who are big fans themselves. I would stay over at their house a lot as a kid, and if it was during the season a Penguins game was always on. My love for the team just grew from there.

Who is your favorite Penguins player (past or present)?
Sidney Crosby

Tell us about your favorite Penguins memory.
My absolute favorite Penguins memory is when three of my friends and I decided to take the four hour car ride to Pittsburgh to see a game. We walking around the city first before heading into CONSOL. There, the Pens beat the New Jersey Devils and Jordan Staal scored his 100th goal of the season. It was the first time I'\'ve ever seen the Pens win at home in person.

On game day I usually...
I'm very superstitious, so on game days I try to do a certain morning routine as I'm getting ready for the day. I also make sure I wear either one of my Penguin jerseys or shirts. At game time, I sit in my room for the rest of the evening and cheer on the boys!

Congratulations, Tracy!
