How long have you been following the Pens and how did you become a fan?
22 years. I slept over a friends house in kindergarten and his parents would let him stay up late to watch games, which worked in our favor, and it eventually became the norm to stay up on hockey night.
Who is your favorite Penguins player (past or present)?
Tell us about your favorite Penguins memory.
Meeting the 90-91 team at a Make-A-Wish event (in my pictures). That's when I learned that hockey players were different than other athletes in that you could select just about any guy on the team as a respectable role-model and hero. They are just a different breed of athlete and I've been a fan of the team and organization ever since. A close 2nd is when my newborn son who didn't sleep through the night when we were in the final round against the Red Wings (in hindsight maybe he didn't sleep because of all my yelling at the TV).
On a game day I usually...
Get the kids in their pajamas before the game starts so I can put 'em in bed during the first intermission and get my hat on.... If I am going to the game, well there's a lot more superstition in that.
